SiYuan is an open-source personal knowledge management system. Prior to 3.7.0, it does not escape the untrusted fields (name, version, author, description) when they are serialized into the data-obj HTML attribute of each marketplace card. Because the attribute is single-quoted and the value is produced with JSON.stringify() (which does not escape ', ), a package whose name contains a single quote
SiYuan is an open-source personal knowledge management system. Prior to 3.7.0, the attribute-view (database) cell renderer genAVValueHTML interpolates cell content raw in four of its branches: text, url, phone, and mAsset. A cell value like or "> breaks out of its surrounding tag and runs arbitrary JavaScript in the renderer when the victim opens the block-attribute panel. On Electron desktop the
SiYuan is an open-source personal knowledge management system. Prior to 3.7.0, CSS snippet body containing breaks out of its surrounding tag when renderSnippet() interpolates it via insertAdjacentHTML. A payload like runs arbitrary JavaScript in the renderer. On Electron desktop builds the renderer runs with nodeIntegration:true, so require('child_process') is reachable from the injected handler
SiYuan is an open-source personal knowledge management system. Prior to 3.7.0, SiYuan contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Attribute View (database) asset cell renderer that escalates to remote code execution (RCE) in the Electron desktop client. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.7.0.
### Impact
`nextflow auth login` persists Seqera Platform OIDC tokens to `${NXF_HOME:-~/.nextflow}/seqera-auth.config`. The file is created via Java NIO without specifying file permissions, so under the default `umask 022` it lands at mode `0644` (world-readable).
On a multi-user POSIX host — typically an HPC login node, shared workstation, or jump host — any local user able to traverse the vict
A bypass to the admin‑only restriction of the XML‑RPC API in Revive Adserver 6.0.7. The API response for the ox.login method returned a session ID cookie in the HTTP headers, and although the method correctly returned an error, the associated session was not invalidated. As a result, the leaked session ID could be used to perform subsequent API calls without restrictions.
Setracker2 Android Companion App com.tgelec.setracker versions 3.1.5 and prior have a predictable registration ID derived from IMEI. The enrollment system lacks additional authentication before assignment. If an attacker is able to obtain the registration ID, they would be able to arbitrarily enroll watches belonging to other users.
Setracker2 Android Companion App com.tgelec.setracker versions 3.1.5 and prior only require the password hash when authenticating with backend services from the client. This could allow an attacker, who knows the hash, to authenticate and gain full access.
The Setracker2 Android Companion App (com.tgelec.setracker) versions 3.1.5 and earlier uses MD5 to generate a request signature for authenticating communications between the mobile client and the backend REST API. Attackers could potentially reverse the signature to recover the session ID. With the session ID exposed, an attacker could impersonate the legitimate user and issue authenticated API re
Setracker2 Android Companion App com.tgelec.setracker versions 3.1.5 and prior encrypts requests between the watch and its backend with static hardcoded AES keys and initialization vectors. This allows an attacker to decrypt Setracker2 watch traffic.
A flaw was found in Apicurio Registry. The DocumentBuilderAccessor correctly blocks external DTD and schema access but does not disable DOCTYPE declarations or enable FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING. An attacker with artifact-write permission can upload XML documents with internal entity-expansion payloads (billion-laughs variant) that cause CPU and heap exhaustion, partially mitigated by the JAXP defau
A flaw was found in the Pen Drive report generator. Cluster-sourced data is rendered into HTML reports without proper escaping or sanitization. An attacker with cluster administrator privileges can inject a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) payload into cluster objects (such as ClusterVersion spec.channel) that executes in the browser of any user who opens the generated HTML report.
WebSocket endpoints lack proper authentication mechanisms, enabling attackers to impersonate charging stations. As a result, attackers can exploit this weakness to gain unauthorized access to sensitive data or perform unauthorized actions. Given that no authentication is required, this can lead to privilege escalation and potentially compromise the security of the entire system.
The WebSocket backend uses charging station identifiers to uniquely associate sessions but allows multiple endpoints to connect using the same session identifier. This implementation results in predictable session identifiers. This vulnerability may allow unauthorized users to authenticate as other users or enable a malicious actor to cause a denial-of-service condition by overwhelming the backend
PKCS7_verify signer confusion allows forged signatures, where the signer associated with a signature is not correctly bound, permitting a forged signature to be accepted.
Use after free in AdFilter in Google Chrome on Android prior to 149.0.7827.201 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific UI gestures to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Flowise before 3.0.6 (affected versions 2.2.8 and earlier) contains an arbitrary file access vulnerability due to missing validation that the chatflowId and chatId parameters are UUIDs or numbers in file handling operations. By supplying a path-traversal value (e.g., '../../../../../tmp') as the chatflow id, an unauthenticated attacker can use the /api/v1/chatflows endpoint (via addBase64FilesToSt
A flaw was found in Apicurio Registry. The WSDLReaderAccessor creates a wsdl4j WSDLReader without disabling the javax.wsdl.importDocuments feature. When the VALIDITY rule is set to FULL, an attacker with Developer-role access can upload a WSDL document containing attacker-controlled import locations, causing the registry to issue HTTP requests to arbitrary internal URLs (server-side request forger
Flowise before 3.0.6 (affected versions 2.2.7-patch.1 and earlier) contains an unsandboxed remote code execution vulnerability in the Custom MCP feature, which is designed to execute OS commands such as launching local MCP servers. Because Flowise's authentication and authorization model is minimal and lacks role-based access control, and the default installation runs without authentication unless
Use after free in Payments in Google Chrome on Android prior to 149.0.7827.201 allowed a local attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via physical access to the device. (Chromium security severity: High)
A flaw was found in Keycloak. This JWT algorithm confusion vulnerability in the JWT Authorization Grant flow allows an attacker with valid client credentials to bypass signature verification. By forging an assertion, the attacker can create unauthorized access tokens. This enables the attacker to impersonate any federated user linked to the affected Identity Provider, leading to unauthorized acces
Flowise contains a path traversal vulnerability in the /api/v1/document-store/loader/process endpoint that allows unauthenticated attackers to write arbitrary files to the filesystem. Attackers can exploit unsanitized fileName parameters with ../ sequences to overwrite critical files like package.json and achieve remote code execution when the application restarts.
Flowise contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in the unprotected /api/v1/account/register endpoint that allows unauthenticated attackers to create user accounts. Remote attackers can exploit this endpoint to register arbitrary accounts and authenticate to the system, gaining full API access without credentials.
Previously, CVE-2024-45337 fixed an authorization bypass for misused ssh server configurations; if any other type of callback is passed other than public key, then the source-address validation would be skipped.
Previously, a revoked 'SignatureKey' belonging to a CA was not correctly checked for revocation. Now, both the 'key' and 'key.SignatureKey' are checked for @revoked.
When writing data larger than 4GB in a single Write call on an SSH channel, an integer overflow in the internal payload size calculation caused the write loop to spin indefinitely, sending empty packets without making progress. The size comparison now uses int64 to prevent truncation.
The Verify() method for FIDO/U2F security key types (sk-ecdsa-sha2-nistp256@openssh.com, sk-ssh-ed25519@openssh.com) did not check the User Presence flag. Signatures generated without physical touch were accepted, allowing unattended use of a hardware security key. To restore the previous behavior, return a "no-touch-required" extension in Permissions.Extensions from PublicKeyCallback.
A malicious SSH peer could send unsolicited global request responses to fill an internal buffer, blocking the connection's read loop. The blocked goroutine could not be released by calling Close(), resulting in a resource leak per connection. Unsolicited global responses are now discarded.
When adding a key to a remote agent constraint extensions such as restrict-destination-v00@openssh.com were not serialized in the request. Destination restrictions were silently stripped when forwarding keys, allowing unrestricted use of the key on the remote host. The client now serializes all constraint extensions. Additionally, the in-memory keyring returned by NewKeyring() now rejects keys wit
The in-memory keyring returned by NewKeyring() silently accepted keys with the ConfirmBeforeUse constraint but never enforced it. The key would sign without any confirmation prompt, with no indication to the caller that the constraint was not in effect. NewKeyring() now returns an error when unsupported constraints are requested.
## Summary
`lemur.users.service.update()` writes a user's new password as plaintext to the `users.password` column. The `User` model wires bcrypt hashing to SQLAlchemy's `before_insert` event but registers no equivalent listener for `before_update`, and `service.update()` does not call `user.hash_password()` after assigning the new value. Every password change performed through the admin-gated `P

When running in HTTP mode with --lockdown-mode enabled, the RepoAccessCache is implemented as a process-global singleton initialized with the first authenticated user's GraphQL client. All subsequent requests from different users share this singleton and their lockdown-related GraphQL queries are executed using the first user's credentials. The singleton is never updated to reflect la
The qrscp application's C-STORE handler uses a specific instance from attacker-supplied DICOM datasets directly in os.path.join() without sanitization, allowing file writes to arbitrary paths.
## Summary
MessagePack-CSharp's typeless deserialization includes `MessagePackSerializerOptions.ThrowIfDeserializingTypeIsDisallowed(Type)` as a safety check for dangerous types. The default implementation checks the outer type name, but it does not recursively inspect array element types or generic type arguments.
As a result, a type that would be blocked directly can be wrapped inside an array

SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for object storage (S3), file systems, and Iceberg tables. Prior to 4.30, the S3 API gateway and the Iceberg REST catalog gateway construct their routers with mux.NewRouter().SkipClean(true). Glances is an open-source system cross-platform monitoring tool. Prior to 4.5.5, the Glances XML-RPC server (glances -s) introduced a configurable CORS origin list in version 4.5.3 as a mitigation for CVE-2026-33533. However, the implementation silently falls back to Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * whenever cors_origins contains more than one entry. An operator who configures an explicit two-entry
Outline is a service that allows for collaborative documentation. A flaw was found in KubeVirt's virt-handler network cache handling. The WriteToCachedFile function writes data to a launcher-rooted path using os.WriteFile and os.Chown without symlink protection. A user with access to the virt-launcher container can plant a symlink at the cache file path, causing virt-handler to follow it and overwrite an arbitrary host file with JSON content and change its owner
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) flaw was found in KubeVirt's virt-api port-forward handler. When processing a port-forward request to a VirtualMachineInstance (VMI), virt-api reads the target IP from vmi.Status.Interfaces[0].IP and passes it directly to net.Dial() without validation. For VMIs using non-masquerade network bindings (bridge or secondary-only), this IP is reported by the QEMU gue
A flaw was found in KubeVirt's downward metrics virtio-serial server. The server reads guest requests using textproto.Reader.ReadLine(), which buffers input indefinitely until a newline character is received, with no length limit or read deadline. A user with access to a VM guest that has the downward metrics virtio-serial device configured can write a continuous byte stream to the device, causing
Out-of-bounds write in SetSuitesHashSigAlgo when processing an oversized signature algorithms list, allowing a write past the bounds of the destination buffer.
PKCS#12 MAC verification uses an attacker-controlled comparison length, weakening the integrity check on the MAC and allowing a mismatched MAC to be accepted. The PKCS#12 verify path compared the locally computed HMAC against the MAC parsed from the PKCS#12 structure using a length taken directly from the attacker-supplied input, without first verifying that it equals the length of the digest actu
iPAddress name constraints bypass when WOLFSSL_IP_ALT_NAME is not defined. IP address name constraints are not enforced in that configuration, allowing a certificate to bypass an issuing CA's IP address constraints.
TLS 1.3 post-handshake authentication (PHA) issue where a server could accept a client's Finished message without the client having sent a Certificate and CertificateVerify. The post-handshake-auth exemption that allows an empty/absent peer certificate was only intended for the initial handshake, but it was also being applied while a post-handshake CertificateRequest was still outstanding. The che
The ML-KEM ARM64 NEON ciphertext comparison only compares half of the input, breaking the Fujisaki-Okamoto transform's implicit rejection and weakening IND-CCA2 security on that code path. The constant-time comparison effectively ignored part of the re-encrypted ciphertext, so a decapsulating party could fail to detect a manipulated ciphertext and proceed without the standard's required implicit r
The WebSocket Application Programming Interface lacks restrictions on the number of authentication requests. This absence of rate limiting may allow an attacker to conduct denial-of-service attacks or brute-force attacks to gain unauthorized access.
HMAC zero-length tag forgery in EVP_DigestVerifyFinal, where a zero-length tag could be accepted as valid during HMAC verification. In the OpenSSL-compatibility HMAC verify path the supplied signature length was only checked as not exceeding the MAC length, so a zero-length or otherwise truncated tag could pass verification. The fix requires the supplied tag length to exactly equal the MAC length
wc_Blake2bHmacFinal and wc_Blake2sHmacFinal discard the message when the key length exceeds the block size, producing a MAC that is independent of the input. When the supplied key is longer than the BLAKE2 block size the key-hashing branch reinitialized the running hash state, discarding the accumulated message data, so the resulting MAC depended only on the key and not on the message being authen
OCSP CertID serial-number length-confusion in wolfSSL_OCSP_resp_find_status allows a same-issuer SingleResponse whose serial is a prefix of the target serial to be reported as the revocation status of a different certificate. The lookup compared serial-number bytes without first requiring the two serial numbers to be of equal length, so a SingleResponse for one certificate (same issuer) whose seri
Missing SNI/ALPN binding on stateful (session-ID) resumption, which previously skipped the binding check performed for ticket-based resumption. picklescan through 0.0.26 fails to detect malicious pickle files that invoke idlelib.pyshell.ModifiedInterpreter.runcode in __reduce__ methods. Attackers can embed undetected code in pickle files that executes arbitrary commands when the file is loaded via pickle.load(), enabling supply chain attacks on PyTorch models and saved Python objects. This is fixed in version 0.0.30.
A flaw was found in Apicurio Registry. The ContentTypeUtil.isParsableXml() method creates a SAXParserFactory without enabling secure processing features or disabling external entity resolution. An attacker with artifact-write permission (or unauthenticated when the registry runs with default configuration) can upload a crafted XML document to trigger blind server-side request forgery (SSRF) via ex
Integer overflow in Mojo in Google Chrome prior to 149.0.7827.201 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a malicious file. (Chromium security severity: High)
Flowise before 3.0.10 (affected versions 3.0.7 and earlier) fails to invalidate existing sessions and session tokens after a user changes their password. An attacker who already holds an active session, for example via a stolen session token or a device left logged in, remains authenticated as the legitimate user even after the user rotates their credentials, undermining the security purpose of th
Parse Server before 4.10.0 was affected by a supply chain incident in which incorrect version tags were pushed to the official repository pointing to an unreviewed personal fork of a contributor with write access. No releases were published with these tags; a project was exposed only if it defined a git-based dependency referencing one of the affected tags (for example, parse-server#4.9.3). The co
Grav before 1.6.30 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Admin plugin page editor default security configuration. Privileged users with page editing capabilities can inject malicious scripts to execute arbitrary code and install malicious plugins for system access.
Flowise through 2.2.4 contains an unauthenticated arbitrary file upload vulnerability in the /api/v1/attachments endpoint when storageType is set to local. Attackers can exploit path traversal in the chatId and chatflowId parameters to upload malicious files to arbitrary directories, potentially enabling remote code execution and server compromise.
Parse Server before 4.10.0 contains a supply chain vulnerability where incorrect version tags were pushed to the repository linking to unreviewed code in a personal fork. Attackers could exploit this by specifying affected version tags in dependency declarations to execute unreviewed and potentially malicious code.
Flowise before 3.0.10 contains an unverified password change vulnerability. An authenticated user can change their account password through the account settings (Security) section without supplying the current password or any additional verification, as the application does not enforce a current-password check on the credential change. This can lead to full account takeover, particularly if an att
Flowise before 3.0.6 contains an arbitrary file read vulnerability in the chatId parameter of the /api/v1/get-upload-file and /api/v1/openai-assistants-file/download endpoints. The chatId value is not validated and is passed to streamStorageFile(), where a fallback file-lookup path constructed without the orgId is evaluated after the storage-directory containment check, allowing path traversal bey
The RSA and DSA public key parsers did not enforce size limits on key parameters. A crafted public key with an excessively large modulus or DSA parameter could cause several minutes of CPU consumption during signature verification. This could be triggered by unauthenticated clients during public key authentication. RSA moduli are now limited to 8192 bits, and DSA parameters are validated per FIPS
An authenticated SSH client that repeatedly opened channels which were rejected by the server caused unbounded memory growth, eventually crashing the server process and affecting all connected users. Rejected channels are now properly removed from the connection's internal state and released for garbage collection.
SSH servers which use CertChecker as a public key callback without setting IsUserAuthority or IsHostAuthority could be caused to panic by a client presenting a certificate. CertChecker now returns an error instead of panicking when these callbacks are nil.
When an SSH server authentication callback returned PartialSuccessError with non-nil Permissions, those permissions were silently discarded, potentially dropping certificate restrictions such as force-command after a second factor succeeded. Returning non-nil Permissions with PartialSuccessError now results in a connection error.

The `PUT /api/1/roles/` handler in `lemur/roles/views.py` gates only on `RoleMemberPermission(role_id).can()`, which is satisfied for any user who is already a member of the target role. The handler then passes `data["users"]` and `data["name"]` directly to `service.update()`, permitting any role member to rewrite that role's membership list and name. The companion `DELETE` handler on

## Description
The `Package.Unmarshal()` function in `pkg/types/alpine/apk.go` decompresses the signature and control gzip members of an APK file into in-memory buffers without bounding the total decompressed size. The existing `max_apk_metadata_size` check (default 1MB) is only applied to individual tar entry header sizes after decompression completes, so it does not prevent a decompression bomb
A CRL critical extension bypass exists in ParseCRL_Extensions where critical extensions are not properly enforced, allowing a crafted CRL with an unhandled critical extension to be accepted. This only affects builds with CRL support enabled and where a crafted CRL had a trusted signature when parsed.
A heap buffer overflow could occur in the DTLS 1.3 ACK serialization path before the connecting peer is authenticated. The buffer overflow was due to an integer truncation when computing the length of the ACK record-number list, causing an undersized buffer to be allocated and then overrun. This affects builds using DTLS 1.3 and wolfSSL version 5.9.0 and earlier. A fix was added to the 5.9.1 relea
X.509 name constraint bypass via the Subject Common Name when treated as a DNS-type name. A certificate whose Subject CN violates an issuing CA's DNS name constraints could be accepted.
An issue in the pthread_rwlockattr_setpshared() function of relibc commit 61f42d allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
The PKCS#7 decode path ignores the caller-supplied output buffer size (outputSz), allowing decoded content to be written past the bounds of the provided buffer. This affects wolfSSL 5.9.0 and earlier and was fixed in the 5.9.1 release.
Out-of-bounds write in the Renesas TSIP TLS 1.3 transcript buffer. In tsip_StoreMessage() the capacity check guarding the fixed message bag (MSGBAG_SIZE) sets an error code but fails to return, so execution falls through to an XMEMCPY that writes past the end of the buffer once the accumulated TLS 1.3 handshake transcript exceeds MSGBAG_SIZE (8 KB), corrupting adjacent heap state and potentially c
Un-negotiated Raw Public Key (RFC 7250) accepted in place of an X.509 certificate, bypassing chain validation. A raw public key has no chain, so ParseCertRelative() accepts it without performing any trust verification; it must therefore only be accepted when RPK was actually negotiated for that peer. The check now defaults the expected type to X.509 (per RFC 7250/8446) when no type was negotiated,
Bitwarden Server before 2026.5.0 contains a broken access control vulnerability that allows any authenticated user to access arbitrary organization billing data by supplying an arbitrary organizationId to the PreviewInvoiceController endpoints without membership or authorization checks. TRACE(Token influence attribution for answer tracing in poisoned corpora),一种轻量级检测框架,通过token影响力归因来识别投毒攻击。

本文提出 PRISM(PE Relational Inter-Section Matrix),一个面向静态 Windows PE 恶意软件检测的开源数据集与特征表示。

picklescan through 0.0.26 fails to detect malicious pickle files that invoke idlelib.pyshell.ModifiedInterpreter.runcode in __reduce__ methods. Attackers can embed undetected code in pickle files that executes arbitrary commands when the file is loaded via pickle.load(), enabling supply chain attacks on PyTorch models and saved Python objects. This is fixed in version 0.0.30.
Flowise before 3.0.10 contains an unverified password change vulnerability. An authenticated user can change their account password through the account settings (Security) section without supplying the current password or any additional verification, as the application does not enforce a current-password check on the credential change. This can lead to full account takeover, particularly if an att

X.509 name constraint bypass via the Subject Common Name when treated as a DNS-type name. A certificate whose Subject CN violates an issuing CA's DNS name constraints could be accepted.
The PKCS#7 decode path ignores the caller-supplied output buffer size (outputSz), allowing decoded content to be written past the bounds of the provided buffer. This affects wolfSSL 5.9.0 and earlier and was fixed in the 5.9.1 release.

Chain intermediate CA:TRUE without keyCertSign accepted as a signing CA. Intermediate CA certificates are required to have the keyCertSign key usage when a Key Usage extension is present, but chain-supplied temporary CAs (WOLFSSL_TEMP_CA) added while building a certificate path were previously exempted from this check, so an intermediate asserting CA:TRUE but lacking keyCertSign was accepted as a
Un-negotiated Raw Public Key (RFC 7250) accepted in place of an X.509 certificate, bypassing chain validation. A raw public key has no chain, so ParseCertRelative() accepts it without performing any trust verification; it must therefore only be accepted when RPK was actually negotiated for that peer. The check now defaults the expected type to X.509 (per RFC 7250/8446) when no type was negotiated,
Out-of-bounds write in the Renesas TSIP TLS 1.3 transcript buffer.

Out-of-bounds heap read during SM2/SM3 certificate signature verification. When parsing a certificate with an SM3wSM2 signature, the Subject Key Identifier computation reads the trailing 65 bytes of the public key without checking that the key is at least that long. A public key shorter than 65 bytes results in an out-of-bounds heap read, leading to a potential crash (denial of service); there is
X.509 trust-chain bypass in the OpenSSL compatibility certificate verifier (wolfSSL_X509_verify_cert()). This affects only builds with --enable-opensslextra (OPENSSL_EXTRA) and whose application validates certificates by calling X509_verify_cert() with caller-supplied untrusted intermediate certificates; for those users it is critical, otherwise the library is unaffected. NewsBlur before 14.5.0 contains a broken access control vulnerability that allows authenticated users to read private notification feeds by supplying arbitrary user_id values to the GET /social/interactions endpoint without ownership verification. Attackers can enumerate user_id values to access another user's follows, replies, and social activity without authorization.
NewsBlur before version 14.5.0 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the add_url endpoint that allows authenticated users to make arbitrary server requests to internal networks by failing to filter private IP addresses. Attackers can exploit this to access localhost services and cloud metadata endpoints, enabling internal network scanning and sensitive data exfiltration.
libais through 0.15 VdmStream::AddLine uses an unchecked sentinel value as a vector index when processing AIS sentences with empty or out-of-range sequential message IDs. Remote attackers can crash services or vessel systems by sending crafted AIVDM sentences over VHF marine radio or IP feeds, causing out-of-bounds memory access and potential corruption.
Huly Platform through 0.7.423, fixed in commit 68cbf8a contains an authenticated server-side request forgery vulnerability in the /import endpoint of front pod that allows workspace users to make arbitrary server requests. Attackers can exploit this by supplying malicious URLs to fetch internal services, exfiltrate responses, and replay credentials against backend systems.
Seahub before 13.0.23 does not enforce SHARE_LINK_LOGIN_REQUIRED on GET /api/v2.1/share-link-zip-task/, allowing unauthenticated users to bypass authentication. Attackers with a folder share-link token can call the GET endpoint to obtain a fileserver zip token and download entire shared directory trees.
Maxun before 0.0.42 contains a cross-tenant insecure direct object reference vulnerability in storage and webhook API handlers that allows authenticated users to access other users' robots and OAuth tokens. Attackers can read plaintext Google and Airtable access tokens, modify, delete, or execute other users' robots by bypassing ownership checks in API endpoints.
Hydra through 9.7, fixed in commit 9cc84c2, contains a stack buffer overflow in NTLM authentication across SMTP, POP3, IMAP, NNTP, HTTP, HTTP-Proxy, and HTTP-Proxy-Urlenum modules when processing malicious NTLM Type-2 challenges. A malicious server can send a crafted NTLM Type-2 challenge with an excessively long domain string, causing base64-encoded response data to overflow a 500-byte stack buff

The K2 frontend article-attachment upload path accepts files whose extension is `.php`, and Apache's standard mod_php matches `\.php$` and executes them under the K2 web user. A K2 Author can upload a `shell.php`, then fetch `/media/k2/attachments/shell.php` and execute arbitrary PHP code in the web server's context.
The K2 article gallery upload path accepts a zip/tar archive, extracts it under `/media/k2/galleries//`, and only renames image files (gif/jpg/jpeg/png/webp) to safe names — non-image files (including `.php`) are extracted as-is and remain executable via direct HTTP access.
The K2 frontend article-save handler accepts an `attachment[N][existing]` POST field that is concatenated with `JPATH_SITE/` and passed to `JFile::copy()`. `JPath::clean` does NOT strip `..`, and there is no allow-list of source paths. Despite the abundance of telemetry at analysts’ disposal, many security operations teams struggle to answer a few basic questions during incident investigation: What happened? What evidence do we have? How do we know we’re seeing it all, in context?
Answering these questions requires teams to go beyond alerts, the most common basis for initial triage. But investigations (and their outcomes)
